Why We Like It
Situated near Deep Creek in largely undeveloped South Andros, this cozy lodge offers quick and easy access to some of the best flats and biggest bonefish, even by Bahamian standards.
Andros South offers clean, air-conditioned accommodations a few yards from a white-sand beach, and every guest gets his or her own room. Key features include a comfortable dining room and outdoor gathering areas, as well as a beach tiki bar and a nifty fly casting practice range with conch shells serving as distance markers.
The location and lodge’s fleet of modern Hell’s Bay flats skiffs enable the veteran guide staff to put anglers in front of fish at a variety of renowned fishing hotspots. A short run from the dock are productive oceanside flats along Andros’ eastern shores, several cays off the south end of the island, as well as Deep Creek, Little Creek, Grassy Creek, and other tidal creeks with miles and miles of interior flats, protected coves, shallow ponds, and channels. Anglers will find plenty of bonefish and an exciting supporting cast that includes permit, tarpon, barracuda, lemon sharks, and more.
